Paige Findley

I was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2020.

I predominantly work in the class actions team in both the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. I have also been involved in property insurance matters in the Local Court of New South Wales.

Prior to joining William Roberts Lawyers, I gained experience for my Practical Legal Training at both an international commercial law firm and a community legal centre.

Who I work with and what I do

I currently work in class actions involving breaches of obligations of superannuation fund trustees; representing litigation funders; and representing lead applicants in both the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. I have also been involved in three related class actions involving professional negligence, breaches of retainer, breaches of fiduciary duties and unconscionable conduct.

I have recently been involved with property insurance matters (motor vehicle claims) in the Local Court of New South Wales, acting for insurers under their rights of subrogation and insured individuals.

Where I studied

I hold a Juris Doctor/Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Arts (History/Politics and International Relations) from the University of Newcastle.

What I like to do

In my spare time I am usually exploring new areas of Sydney and surrounds. I am always looking for new spots to eat vegan food and enjoy experimenting with cooking new vegan and low-waste recipes.
