Alexander Bogaty

I am currently working in the class actions team on multiple shareholder and consumer proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia. I also assist on a variety of complex multi-party litigation matters in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.

Prior to joining William Roberts Lawyers, I worked as a paralegal at a personal injury law firm. In this role I was involved in all aspects of conducting public liability and workers compensation claims. Whilst studying I also gained valuable experience volunteering at a Community Legal Centre, representing animal rights activists, and lobbying for animal welfare. In 2019, I undertook an exchange programme in Maastricht, the Netherlands, where I studied International Trade and European Union Law.

Who I work with and what I do

I predominantly work in the class actions team. I am currently assisting in the Sims Metals and Combustible Cladding class actions in the Federal Court of Australia.

Additionally, I work in matters involving general commercial litigation, property, and insolvency in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.

Where I studied

I have a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the Australian National University.

What I like to do

I’m a passionate supporter of the arts and will never say no to exploring a new gallery or dancing to live music. I’m also an avid reader, vinyl collector, and squash player. When not in lockdown, I love to travel and cook for my friends.
