Georgia Wiadrowski

I was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of Victoria and thereafter entered the High Court's Register of Practitioners.

I have experience across various Australian Jurisdictions and have provided advice in:

  • commercial litigation, principally involving subrogated insurers;
  • complex property damage recovery in the area of building and construction including home warranty insurance and recovery under deeds of indemnity and guarantees;
  • subrogated recoveries, including claims against, engineers, architects, and certifiers;
  • indemnity disputes; and
  • subrogated motor vehicle recoveries and settlements.

Prior to joining William Roberts, I completed my PLT at Leo Cussen Centre for Law whilst gaining experience at a Melbourne boutique law firm in the area of commercial disputes, wills and estate litigation.

Who I work with and what I do

I work closely with insurers and insureds on matters spanning various jurisdictions including in the Magistrates Court of Victoria, where I have appeared on behalf of subrogated insurers in motor vehicle disputes. I have also acted in matters litigated in the Magistrates Court of South Australia, the Local and District Courts of New South Wales and I have assisted in a matter litigated in the Supreme Court of Northern Territory.

Where I studied

I have a Bachelor of Laws with Distinction from Deakin University.

What I like to do

Outside of office hours, I spend a lot of my time on my partner’s family farm, vineyard, and winery in West Gippsland. For many years, I have been involved in all aspects of the harvest, making, and bottling of the wine including cellar door, special events and most importantly in the quality control.

Needless to say, I enjoy fine food and wine with friends and family and love the vibrant Melbourne foodie culture and nightlife. I also enjoy bushwalking, reading, and getting up to Far North Queensland to visit my parents and younger sister.
