Effie Dimos

I have over eight years’ experience in commercial litigation and have acted and advised on a vast array of matters. I like to focus on providing effective pragmatic commercial advice, in an approachable and understandable manner, to enable the efficient and effective resolution of all matters.

Who I work with and what I do

I take instructions from a broad client base consisting of individuals, as well as institutional clients (such as subrogated insurers, banks, private and public companies), with respect to a wide variety of matters, including representative proceedings, contractual disputes, torts, insurance disputes and debt recovery.

I have also taken instructions from various SME’s, insurers, government bodies with respect to debt recovery matters, commercial disputes and trade credit insurance with a focus on retention of title recoveries and the right to recovery under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009. I also worked extensively with creditors, liquidators, administrators and receivers seeking recovery with respect to insolvent and voidable transactions and have vast experience in the winding up and bankruptcy regimes.

Where I studied

I graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) with Credit and Bachelor of Laws.

What I like to do

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, having a good laugh and getting creative.
