Shreeya Pandey
I have over five years experience in commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and insurance litigation and disputes generally.
I speak Nepali and Hindi fluently and have an appreciation for the broad diversity of Australian cultures. Prior to being a lawyer, I worked in one of Australia's leading providers of integrated financial services, as a Compliance Analyst. My responsibilities included managing the compliance and risk framework for the financial crimes department and managing and advising clients and stakeholders across various service lines.
I was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in February 2018 and entered in the High Court's Register of Practitioners.
Who I work with and what I do
My practice experience includes:
- Workers compensation and dust disease claims and disputes
- Property damage negligence disputes as well as fraud and contract disputes on behalf of major general and life insurer clients
- Contract and debt disputes as well as insolvent matters arising from such disputes for our banking and finance clients
- Insurance matters, including subrogated motor vehicle accident claims
- Corporations and association law matters, including allegations of breaches of directors’ duties and claims of oppression
- Debt recovery, by financial institutions and private clients;
- Cyber, data breaches and privacy law.
Where I studied
I have a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management and Industrial Studies) from Western Sydney University. I also have a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
What I like to do
I have a strong desire to continuously contribute to my community, and as such, I volunteer nationally and internationally. I enjoy new cultures, food, exercising, and new experiences and I am an avid traveller.
