Stephanie Kokiousis

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance from the University of Wollongong.

Stephanie is involved with property damage claims in the Small Claims Divisions of the Local Court of New South Wales.

Her experience includes:.

  • Advising clients with respect to quantum and liability disputes
  • Compiling evidence
  • Debt recovery by financial institutions
  • Advocating for institutional clients in Court in recovery and defended matters
  • Negotiating favourable settlement outcomes for institutional clients for both property damage claims and motor vehicle accidents claims
  • Enforcement of judgments.

Prior to being a lawyer, Stephanie worked in the financial services industry, within one of Australasia's leading provider of integrated financial advisory and accounting services. In her role as Risk Management Manager, her responsibilities included; managing the compliance and risk framework for a responsibility entity; and managing and advising on client claims across various service lines, including defending litigation proceedings and claims lodged with FOS, AFCA, the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Tax Practitioners Board.

Through Stephanie’s experience in this role, she has regulatory knowledge regarding financial services and has successfully implemented processes to reduce business risk.
