Nicolette Kontakos
I was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a lawyer in July 2020. Since being admitted I have mainly worked on transactional matters such as conveyancing, leases and commercial agreements. I have also assisted in small litigation matters.
Before being employed at William Roberts and during my studies at university, I was a graduate lawyer assisting with corporate insolvency matters.
Who I work with and what I do
I generally work on property and commercial transaction. I assist Samuel Manikis of William Roberts Lawyers in advising clients on the commercial and regulatory implications of transactions on possible issues that can arise in relation to development approval, council regulations, planning regulation certificates, sewer and drainage diagrams, deposited plans and titles searches.
I have also assisted in providing advice to clients in relation to banks, such as the creation or the discharge of a mortgage or the lodging of a caveat as security over a property. As well as assisting with managing the transaction between the bank, the real estate agent and the solicitor for the other party in the transaction.
Where I studied
I have a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Macquarie University.
What I like to do
During my time away from work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cultural and social events, being active at the gym (circuit gym classes), outdoor adventures and relaxation exercises.
