Hannah Darwell

Hannah is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Laws and Social Science at Macquarie University. 

Hannah is part of the general disputes and commercial litigation team at William Roberts Lawyers. Within this team, Hannah’s portfolio includes working on matters involving insurance, property, debt recovery and bankruptcy in various jurisdictions.

Prior to joining William Roberts Lawyers, Hannah gained valuable legal experience working as a paralegal at a boutique law firm specialising in planning, environment and property law.

Since joining William Roberts Lawyers, Hannah has been involved in:

  • drafting correspondence and offers in general dispute and commercial litigation matters;
  • drafting court documents;
  • preparing briefs for counsel;
  • attending to legal research and updates.

Some of Hannah’s more recent experience includes being involved or assisting in:

  • a successful appeal in the Supreme Court of New South Wales from a decision in the Local Court of New South Wales involving negligence and a cross-claim for indemnity;
  • a matter in the New South Wales Court of Appeal in which the clients were successful in defending a variation or the setting aside of orders sought by the appellant;
  • assisting in matters involving claims or potential claims under the Australian Consumer Law;
  • a matter involving injurious falsehood and other related causes of action;
  • assisting in class actions investigations.
