Georgia Ryan

I am currently in my penultimate year of study and since joining William Roberts in 2020, I have been primarily assisting the Class Actions and Cyber Security team.

Who I work with and what I do

I am experienced in:

  • preparing briefs to counsel
  • carrying out complex legal research tasks.

Most recently I have assisted colleagues in writing the recent WR article ‘(Some) Privacy to the People (Maybe)’ which explored the potential impacts of an upcoming review of the Privacy Act by the Attorney General.

Where I studied

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Security Studies and Bachelor of Laws Degree from Macquarie University. During my studies, I was also awarded the Herbert Smith Freehills prize for Equity Trusts and the Faculty of Arts Highest Achiever in a Unit of Study Award.

What I like to do

I have a deep interest in social justice and international security and have experience assisting organisations that provide strategic analysis of security concerns in the Asia Pacific region.
