Amanda Hoole

I have been admitted to practice as a solicitor in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Prior to my admission, I was with William Roberts Lawyers as a law clerk for two years.

Since my admission, I have acted for shareholders in class actions, and various building owners in the Combustible Cladding Class Actions. I have also acted for insurers in motor vehicle property damage matters.

Who I work with and what I do

I work with the Class Actions team on matters that include shareholder disputes and consumer law matters. I have appeared in the Federal Court of Australia with respect to those class actions and have appeared in the Local Court of New South Wales in motor vehicle property disputes.

In the Class Actions team, I often brief counsel, draft evidence, prepare briefs, instruct experts and liaise with our clients.

Where I studied

I have a Juris Doctor with Distinction and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle. I also have a Bachelor of Media Studies from La Trobe University.

What I like to do

I like to practice yoga and Pilates and I have an particular interest in discovering new restaurants and dining experiences, as well as watching stand-up comedy.
