William Roberts Lawyers (WR) are acting for STOP PFAS (Blue Mountains) Inc, an action group convened by Mr Jon Dee to represent the interests of people living in the Blue Mountains water catchment area (the Catchment Area). The Catchment Area covers over 40,000 households between Springwood and Mount Victoria inclusive, who receive water supplied from Sydney Water’s Cascade filtration plant, near Katoomba (the Water Supply).
WR have been retained to investigate a potential class action following the discovery of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the Water Supply. Preliminary investigations indicate that PFAS may have been present in the Water Supply from at least 1992 to mid 2024 (Exposure Period).
WR invites any person who was resident in the Catchment Area at any time during the Exposure Period to provide WR with their details by following the link below.
Important notice: please only follow the steps below if you are a potential group member, i.e. you have been a resident in the Catchment Area at any time during the Exposure Period.
If you satisfy this criteria, please click on the link below to provide WR with your contact details, and you will be sent by email a confidential questionnaire to complete.
