Vicky Grillakis

Vicky has a completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Technology and has Bachelor of Arts with a major in Government and Philosophy from the University of Sydney.

Vicky’s main practice area is within insurance litigation. Vicky is involved with property damage claims in the Local Court of New South Wales, privacy and data breach notification, and commercial litigation matters.

Prior to being a lawyer, Vicky worked in international transport and logistics and has experience as a Business Development Manager with an international freight carrier. Further, through Vicky’s experience with the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection she has regulatory knowledge regarding import and export of goods. Through her previous positions, Vicky has successfully implemented customer business solutions, has an understanding of international contracts and regulatory requirements for the transportation of international goods. 

Vicky’s recent experience includes:

  • Drafting pleadings;
  • Interviewing witnesses;
  • Enforcement;
  • Working on matters for institutional clients for motor vehicle accident claims where liability and quantum are in dispute;
  • Fencing disputes;
  • Fraud claims;
  • Bankruptcy matters;
  • Defamation matters;
  • Privacy and data breach notification requirements including preparing data breach response plans.
