Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the firm’s initiatives to assess and take responsibility for the company's effects on the environmental, social, community and charitable work.

William Roberts aims to be lead a constructive role in the CSR activities.  In line with our strategic aim of being better we believe it is our responsibility to make the world around us a better place.  


A major focus for William Roberts is raising mental health awareness by  partnering with Lifeline. Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Somewhere in Australia there is a new call to Lifeline every minute. Lifeline receives 2,000 calls a day and up to a million calls a year. William Roberts raises funds and supports educational activity to promote positive mental health.

Starlight Children's Foundation

William Roberts supports the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Starlight is dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families and to developing programs based on positive psychology principals that support the ‘total care’ of children and teens.

William Roberts Principal, Robert Ishak, is a committee member of the Sydney Starlight Children’s Foundation ‘Star Ball’, a fundraising gala event that takes place annually in Canberra, Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne with all proceeds going directly to the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

FSHD Global Research Foundation

Established in 2007, FSHD Global Research Foundation is committed to advancing global medical research, education and collaboration to improve the quality of life and ultimately find a cure for Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD). In the last 9 years, the Foundation has raised $9 million to fund 42 research projects in 9 countries. Being praised for its 100% donor model, which sees every tax deductible dollar directed towards research, sheds light on the importance of transparency and accountability within the not for profit sector. 

The Law Society of New South Wales, Charter for the Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession

William Roberts has committed to developing and implementing initatives that are designed to promote and support strategies to retain women in the profession over the course of their careers and encourage and promote their career progression into senior executive and management positions.
