Financial Ombudsman

All Australian Financial Service Providers are required to be members of an external dispute resolution scheme. The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), is one of the most common schemes, whose members include banks, insurers, credit providers and financial advisors.

The FOS independently resolves dispute between financial service provides and their client. The FOS provides a cheaper alternative to litigation for clients of the Financial Service Providers.

We act for a wide range of Financial Service Providers in relation to disputes made by their clients to the FOS.

We work with Financial Service Providers to manage these disputes. Our expertise includes drafting letters of advice, final decision letters, notices of response and submissions to the FOS in relation to recommendations and/or determinations.
